Support for Ukrainian refugees

In a terrible turn of events, war in a neighbouring country brought new challenges, mothers and children fleeing.

We were joined by volunteers of Ukrainian origin, with whose help the Foundation's work to help refugees began in April 2022. Initially, we collected and distributed donations from civilians to registered refugees who came to us.

In addition to support from the general public, more and more donor NGOs have supported our work and donated money to cover the costs.

We have also set up a refugee centre at 43 Hernád Street in the 7th district of Budapest.

We provided childcare, psychological support and language training for Ukrainian refugees who came here, but we also made sure that those who came to us received a good word and a smile.

We organised fundraising and donations , distributing to 80 families a week, durable food, hygiene items, fruit, shopping vouchers, warm clothes, toys, blankets.

Fundraising for surgery

In the spring of 2023, a middle-aged gentleman approached us asking us to help him raise money for a much-needed hip replacement. We were determined to support him, and through our community efforts, by the end of the summer we had raised half of the money, which we were proud to present to him.

Today, following a successful operation, he has made a full recovery and is back at work.

This story is not only about recovery, but also about the strength of our community and the importance of helping others. We are proud to be part of these changes and remain committed to supporting those who need our help.

We know that true achievement is in the power of community, and that with the strength of cooperation and solidarity we can achieve anything. That's why we are always open to supporting new initiatives and working with new partners.

We believe in giving everyone the opportunity to live life to the full, and this is what motivates us every day. We thank all our supporters for joining us on this journey. Together we will continue our journey towards a better world where no one is left without help.

Animal shelter

We still didn't forget about the pets, and whenever we could, we ran to the shelter with a packed bag.

These visits are not just about the animals, but also about supporting the volunteers who work there.

Each time we visit, we take donations of food, toys and care items with us to help the shelter and improve the lives of the animals there.

This activity is particularly important to us, as we know that shelter animals are often neglected and struggle to survive. Our Foundation is committed to raising awareness of the plight of shelter animals and to actively participate in solutions that can improve their living conditions.

With the help of our community and our supporters, we are constantly working to support more shelters and more pets. Our hearts are set on providing a better future for as many animals as possible, and we are grateful for every donation that makes this possible.

Together, we can make a big difference and we will continue to fight to ensure that shelter animals not only survive, but that their eyes are bright and their fur is shiny.

How can you support us?

The Lexis Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a public benefit mission. This means that it does not generate income from economic activity, but from grants and donations. The assets thus acquired - money and material assets - are used primarily for the activities set out in the articles of association.
